You will learn about the Great Fires of the past as well as the tragedy of the brave Fire Fighters who lost their lives during the 09/11 attacks. We will also see the famous Ghostbuster firehouse and/or visit another firehouse where we will meet the bravest of New York City!
And as an add on we can either visit the FDNY Fire Zone or the New York City Fire Museum, your choice!
We start at the Southern end of Manhattan and explore the Downtown area on our way to the 9/11 Ground and the Fire Fighter Memorial.
From there we walk further north to the ghostbuster firehouse and/or visit another firehouse.
You can add on this history tour a visit of the FDNY Fire Zone or the New York City Fire Museum (additional time and costs):
1 - At the FDNY Fire Zone, a firefighter and facilitator guides visitors through the interactive presentation. You can join the Fire Zone experience which is the innovative fire simulator. This experience is only in English available.
2 - As for the NYC Fire Museum, I am happy to give you a guided tour in German or English. Located in a renovated 1904 firehouse, it holds one of the nation's most prominent collections of fire related art, artifacts, gear, and apparatus from the late 18th century to the present.
