If you had told me ten years ago that I would one day be on the board of this organization, I would have said the same thing I said when I found out there was to be a food court on the lower level of Grand Central Terminal - "that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard". It is ten years later, I am on the board and there is a food court on the lower level of Grand Central Terminal. I love this organization and I love this industry. What I hope to accomplish, with this board, is to help make GANYC a more seriously taken organization and a force to be reckoned with. Since the City of New York dropped the ball in terms of a government agency overseeing New York City tourism, my hope is that GANYC will fill that void. Doing so would give us the legitimacy that we have strived for and continue to work for.
